Ali Costellow is a junior at Western Kentucky University, majoring in journalism and visual journalism with a concentration in photojournalism and documentary.
She spent the last two years in several reporting, photography and editing roles at the
College Heights Herald, WKU’s independent student-run newspaper, and worked as a news intern for the
Lexington Herald-Leader the summer after her freshman year. She most recently completed a summer in the south of France as an international multimedia journalist and social media director for
The Arles Project through ieiMedia. She currently has the honor of serving as WKU's NPPA chapter co-president.Ali loves to report on and photograph stories surrounding lifestyle, culture, politics, social issues, arts and fashion. Most of all, though, she enjoys amplifying the voices of those who deserve to be heard and sharing their stories with the world.
In her free time, Ali enjoys admiring her fluffy tuxedo cat, flipping through all the magazines she subscribes to and listening to classic and alternative rock.
Ali's work has received recognition from the William Randolph Hearst Journalism Awards Program, the Kentucky Press Association and the Associated Collegiate Press.
